The downside to writing a review of this film is that I will have that dang theme song stuck in my head all day now...I'm already envisioning Will Smith bouncing around singing "Wild Wild West..." Still, since that was pretty much the highlight of this film I guess I should be grateful.

While I certainly admire Will Smith's energy and enthusiasm, do you get the feeling that at some point during this filming he looked around and said "What the heck am I doing in the middle of this garbage...Am I really this desperate to sell more records?" Kevin Kline, who I adore, has made enough clunkers that we should be used to it by now.

Once in awhile, it just seems he has this spiritual need to make a completely trashy film. He succeeds here. And, who was the brain who put Salma Hayek in the middle of a Western? Yes, she's adorable...yes, she can act...but, in a Western?

I question many of the choices Barry Sonnenfeld made in this film, but mostly I have to question why the producers chose Sonnenfeld to direct this film. He clearly wasn't up to the task. With the talent present here, this film should have been MUCH better.
