This
film plays worse than the Indianapolis Colts in
a play-off game
Average
performances by Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet
can't hide the fact that this film, a sequel to
"The Whole Nine Yards," is a major
disappointment largely due to a weak performance
by Bruce Willis and a script that lacks the
subtlety and unique, dark humor of the original.
A new gangster, Lazslo is played by Kevin Pollak.
I've never been fond of Pollak (and I hear he's
quite the prima donna), but he does a
serviceable job here.
The dialogue is considerably more forced, the
storyline a tad ridiculous for this style of
film. The film never had my interest and I
finished watching it completely uninvolved in
any of the characters. Decent performances by
Perry and Peet save this film for me, but I
still can't work my way up to a recommendation.
If you loved the original, well, just watch it
again.
