Five criminals...one line-up. No coincidence. |

"The Usual
Suspects" is the example of the perfect suspense thriller. Excellent
acting, especially from Kevin Spacey in his Oscar winning role, a dark
atmosphere, and a script that will knock your socks off.
The story follows a group of criminals who are forced to work a job
for a criminal mastermind. It's not that simple. The final twist will
give you plenty to think about for days to come.
If the story seems complex on the first viewing, watch again. The
movie is filled with so many details, it's amazing. Small bits of
dialogue, little bits of evidence, all can give a careful observer the
ending before the film is over! But chances are you won't figure the
ending out the first time through, you'll be too engrossed!
The cast is very good (along with Spacey, there's Chazz Palminteri,
Gabriel Byrne, Pete Postlethwaite, and Kevin Pollack), and the the
acting is top notch. Director Bryan Singer (Who later made the "X-Men"
movies) is in full control. The script is so clever it's amazing.
I highly recommend this. |

Richard Propes' Comment
This is another film that is gradually falling
out of my favor. For now, I will merely say I
enjoyed it a lot.
