Eyeball Workout...
Four
films consecutively... but all one film. The
screen is divided into four quadrants and the
sound will lead your eyes to the action. It
works surprisingly well and results in a very
good drama. Oh, and the film (all four of them)
is shot in real time!!! This is inspired and
original filmmaking from the director of
'Leaving Las Vegas'.

Propes' Comment
"Time
Code" doesn't work nearly as often as Figgis'
wonderfully experimental "Loss of Sexual
Innocence," yet it's a film that is almost
impossible to dismiss. It's innovative, bold and
edgy during a time when innovative, edgy, and
daring filmmaking is taboo. The film encircles
four stories of adultery told from a variety of
angles. A stellar cast keeps the film constantly
interesting and accessible, though the film does
play a tad inconsistent and the "edgy"
experimentation doesn't always work. I still
love Figgis, and I love his willingness to go
out on a ledge in the name of great filmmaking.
