The perfect action film... |

"Terminator 2: Judgment Day" is the perfect action film. It improves
upon the clever but schlocky "Terminator" by leaps and bounds. The
story is now grander, with more characters and more at risk. The
heroes are now deeper and it is entirely possible to be sucked in on
their journey. The stakes are higher and write director James Cameron
drives that point home with power and purpose. This is not regular
sci-fi material, but deeply dramatic, heavily thematic filmmaking.
"Terminator 2" has a purpose, a moral, a theme, and it actually seems
to exist for a reason outside of making money. The ending does what no
film of this type has ever made me do: sob like a baby. |

Better
than the original... T2 ranks as one of the best
sci-fi action films of all time!

This is
yet another one of those films where I think to
myself "What am I missing here?" Why do people I
respect enjoy this film so much? Why does the
ending make Jacob sob? I just don't see it, feel
it or even care.
