At 75 minutes
long, "Serial Intentions" is a gift to the
audience only in its brevity. The film is a
straight to video thriller that stars Mark Grant
(also its screenwriter) along with Erin Gray and
Kevin McCarthy.
The film is absurdly written, badly acted and
generally uninteresting, despite its brevity.
The film tries to exact a classic tone to it,
but fails miserably and also approaches the idea
of being a "buddy cop" film...it also fails in
this regard.
Director Brad Jacques is primarily a straight to
video director but he hasn't had a film since
2003. If you take every stereotypical thriller
in the buddy cop field, you pretty much know
what to expect from this film...only its worse.
