Classic Tarantino!
I'm
definitely not as strongly on the "Reservoir
Dogs" bandwagon as many folks. I consider this a
strong film from Quentin Tarantino, but I have a
hard time with this being the classic that so
many seem to feel it is.
I enjoyed watching this film considerably, but I
never felt like I was watching anything that
innovative. Even without recognizing where, I
felt like I had seen it before. Still, the
dialogue is crisp...and the performances felt
authentic, especially Steve Buscemi (who won an
Independent Spirit Award)and Michael Madsen. Tim
Roth is great, along with Harvey Keitel...however,
I've seen better performances from both actors.
I give kudos to Tarantino for the script, the
well paced action and the stylishness of the
film.
