One of the worst films of the year

Okay. I'll go ahead and confess. There was only one reason I actually rented this DVD.

It's true...I was in the mood for something shallow, off-color and sexy. Ugh. I so seldom get that mood, but when I do I typically find something along the lines of a frat comedy (like say "Van Wilder") or something trivial such as this film.

So, I rented this film for the most base of reasons...AND, I was still disappointed. That, for me, is truly an indicator of how I truly regard this film as trivial, shallow and meanspirited crap along the lines of "Jackass." This film was so bad that I intentionally watched it to the end just so I wouldn't be hypocritical in bashing it completely.

I wanted the satisfaction of knowing I could write how much I despised this film and its complete lack of morals or values. The very basic premise is that 16 college students are filmed in Cancun on Spring Break. "Anything can happen."

Of course, it does...but, for me, basically all I saw was complete justification for the fact that I never headed for a beach on Spring Break. These people are spineless idiots who value themselves more than they seem to value anyone else...It completely blows me away that people paid to see this...that there are people who watched this film and thought "I want to go to Cancun on Spring Break".

Thankfully, I am aware that not all people are like this...they had to audition and work hard to find people this completely lacking in talent, personality and values.

There are people who spend their Spring breaks serving others and making a difference in the world. Thankfully, I know that...I've seen it and I have more faith in it. For now, I will just lament this film was ever made. I'm not going to dignify anyone in the cast or production by naming names. You don't deserve the recognition.
