Loyalty & Perseverance...

The true story of Henri Charriere's escape from Devil's Island and the penal colony in French Guyana. This adventure classic of a wrongly imprisoned man is one of the greatest films of all time.

McQueen and Hoffman give two of the best performances I've ever witnessed. "Papillon" is an epic story framed with spectacular sequences and scenery and emotionally balanced with one of the most beautiful scores ever. This film earns every emotion it asks from the viewer so that, by the time the final scene rolls, it is hard to stop the tears.

This is a story about perseverance, injustice, hope, love & friendship. If you liked 'The Shawshank Redemption'... you will love this film. For all intents and purposes, this film is without flaw and ranks as one of the best movies ever made.
