A
Walking Paradox...
A
husband and father, who runs a mail order
business out of his home, seeks professional
psychiatric help because of the stress brought
on by his other part time job... as a contract
killer. William H. Macy is the tormented average
man with the not-so-average occupation, Donald
Sutherland plays his father who gets him jobs,
Tracy Ullman plays the wife who is unaware of
the 'other life', Neve Campbell is the sexy
young thing that awakens his taste for life, &
John Ritter is the Shrink. All of them combine
for a group dynamic that is destined to erupt.
This film sneaks up on you and before you know
it you have watched a film that hits Suburban
disillusionment almost as hard as American
Beauty did. William H. Macy is one of the most
consistently excellent and subtly powerful
actors of the past decade... he is at his best
here in a role that could have been very tricky.
