The
Gambler's Haze...
This
is a desperately depressing look into the inner
workings of a gambling addict.
Philip Seymour Hoffman is typically brilliant
as he exhibits all the characteristics of a
delusional man.
This is a true story about a Canadian banker in
the early 1980's who was able to secure massive
business loans which gave him access to millions
of other people's dollars. His small time habit
soon becomes a catastrophe of enormous
proportions. The debts are mounting and the
harder he tries to dig out, the deeper the hole
he is in becomes.
This is a fascinating peek into a world of
lonely desperation and utter denial.
