TC Candler's Review

B+

Better than its reputation...

A really witty script delivered with a tongue-in-cheek manner by some surprisingly good comedic actors. Roberts and Pitt have great chemistry and I like the way the plot is inventive throughout its running time. This adventure / comedy was a real gem!

Richard Propes' Comment

MENTAL NOTE: Have talk with TC about why he thinks "The Mexican" is better than its reputation.

MENTAL NOTE: Tell TC he's wrong.

This film sort of reminds me of the whole "Ocean's 12" fluff that really serves as nothing more than a reason for old friends to get together, have a few drinks, party down, make a film, then make their loyal fan base sit through the crappy result. I love Julia Roberts, and I like Brad Pitt. This film, however, is utterly average.
