Double Belly-Buster...
Gibson turns
on the charm, Foster is cuter that ever, the
screenplay is fun and original... And all that
makes for a great time at the movies.
Why is it that in every poker movie the worst
hand that anyone has is either a full house or
four of a kind? I play poker for a living and
suggest that the average winning hand is
probably more like two-pair... but I guess that
wouldn't be quite as dramatic as a Royal Flush.

Usually, I
can see where TC is coming from. I still
disagree a lot, but I can at least usually
understand his point. But, TC, "Maverick?" An
A-? Really? Were you possibly having really
great sex while you watched it? Maybe you were
wrapped up with Kate Beckinsale so tightly that
you didn't quite see the utter and complete
stupidity of the entire film? OR maybe you were
in some hardcore drug phase of your life? At
least stoned? I do admit that it's refreshing to
see Jodie Foster smile, but an A-? Yikes, I
didn't see that one coming.
