An aesthetically gorgeous coming-of-age film that really has something important to say about image and preconceptions. Monica Bellucci does a splendid job as the object of desire and intense jealousy directed at her from various characters in a small Italian village during WWII. This is a small gem that I recommend you seek out at your local DVD store.
