Making it up as they go...

Not nearly in the class of Favreau and Vaughn's first film 'Swingers', but still an entertaining and original effort. The rat-a-tat-tat rhythm of Favreau's dialogue is a joy to hear, and it is clear that the two leads have an undeniable chemistry on screen. I really hope that there is more to come from this duo.

Richard Propes' Comment

I am troubled by a film like "Made," written and directed by terminally cool Jon Favreau and starring Vince Vaughn and Favreau.

This film had remarkable potential but gets bogged down in repetitive, sophomoric humor and language coupled by the incomprehensible casting of Sean Combs.

Don't get me wrong...I'm aware that it's street to throw the "F" word around repeatedly. It's funny, even cool...but, after awhile, I long for a bit of creativity...a way of communicating something other than with a trivial obscenity designed to show how cool the character is...This is not "cool," it's Beavis & Butthead potty-mouth garbage humor. During a 30 minute cartoon it might be funny, but over the course of a film it became pointless.
