Beauty Incarnate...

At 26 years old, Hedy Lamarr glows in one of her first major movies. This gorgeous film, Oscar nominated for cinematography, was one of the many movies she starred in during the late 30's and early 40's that made her the biggest movie star in the world. The film, essentially a romantic triangle, is often funny and more patient than the average 1930's picture. However, the real reason to watch this film is Hedy Lamar herself. The most beautiful woman in cinema history, at the height of her beauty, gives a wonderful performance. Special note to be given to the costume designers, who drape Lamarr in a multitude of gorgeous dresses throughout the film. Lady of the Tropics is aesthetically perfect in virtually every way. I highly recommend this film.
