Just how Unnatural Are We?

Half way through the film, one of the characters says... 'When in doubt, don't ever do what you really want to do.' And that about sums up the message of human absurdity that is buried deep beneath the surface of this madcap and wacky comedy. This is a 90 minute laughing fit of a movie that analyzes all the glorious goofiness that is 'Human Nature'.

Some really hilarious scenes are separated by stretches of nada, but not enough that it warrants too much of a complaint. I really liked this zany movie that was written by Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich).

The entire cast is funny and charming in what must have been a hard film to keep a straight face while performing. This material could easily have turned sour or ludicrous in less talented hands.

Miranda Otto is one of the sexiest newcomers of the year. The beautiful Aussie actress plays Gabrielle, the sexy French nymph, and she steals all of the scenes she is in. Anyone who can utter the line... 'Come in, you nasty piece of merde', and still keep a straight face, deserves an academy award in my book.
