Hot
Chicks Can't Save this Movie...
I'll
admit it... I am a typically a Rob Schneider
fan. The guy can flat-out make me laugh. I was
one of the few critics who liked and recommended
both 'Deuce Bigalow' and 'The Animal'. However,
this latest effort is a rather routine and tired
retread of his earlier movies blended with the
not-so-comic-genius of the 1970's TV show,
'Bosom Buddies'. I suppose there are some
giggles to be found here... but they are too few
and far between to make this goofy comedy a
recommendable one.
This film apparently caught a case of Sandler-itis.
As has been the case in most of Adam Sandler's
latest outings, this film is ridiculously
over-sentimental and filled with politically
correct messages about what's really important
in life. Let's get this straight... I do not
need my slapstick comedies to tell me what's
morally important in this world. Quit the
preaching and get to the jokes!!!
I cannot recommend this movie. 'The Hot Chick'
is one of those films that has no redeeming
value whatsoever. And even though it can still
make you laugh from time to time while you're
doing something else and don't have to pay close
attention, I wouldn't go out of your way to see
it.
