Run of the mill...

I suppose this film has a cool location and some moody and stylish scenes, but it ultimately falls on its face by resorting to all the standard scare tactics. There is nothing really original about this very mediocre horror film.

Byrne and Margulies each deliver committed efforts despite a pretty weak script.  The rest of the cast is supremely forgettable.

I liked the first 20-30 minutes of the film.  The set-up is eerie enough to send chills down your spine.  But the supposedly frightening moments lack a punch and originality that may have made this a surprise hit.

Overall, I think you can safely avoid this boat ride until it appears on late night cable.
