As much as I
do enjoy stupid comedies, I've never been much a
fan of the Ernest films. Still, they have their
market and Jim Varney certainly created a unique
character. For that reason alone, I pass the
film. Still, each film is fairly formulaic and I
believe most of them had either a short run or
no run in the theatres. Varney fans will always
defend him, while the rest of us will just look
in amazement at the sales figures for these
movies. There's nothing special here...it's not
the worst "Ernest" movie by far, and I
definitely would recommend it for fans of this
series.
