You don't assign him to murder cases. You just turn him loose. |

Me and
an acquaintance got in a huge argument that resulted in our not
speaking to one another for a week over this movie.
He called it his favorite movie of all time, an action classic that
ages gracefully.
I said that it has not aged well, and while some scenes are very
impressive, the overall package is pretty disappointing considering
the hype about it.
It's an okay action movie, and Clint Eastwood is fun to watch, but the
villain is laughable and I was only truly thrilled twice.
Still worth seeing if you enjoy action, though |

I am not a
big fan of the "Dirty Harry" series, but I love
the original. Clint Eastwood was wonderful, the
script worked and the direction by Don Siegel
allowed Eastwood to balance intensity and humor.
Andy Robinson was also an excellent foil for
Eastwood as the bad guy, Scorpio.
