There
are certain films out there that can be considered harmless as to how
dumb they are, but many of them are not harmless but nasty bullets
being shot at the heart of good film. Two examples come to mind on
this matter: "XXX" and this film, "Charlie's Angels."
Based on the mediocre TV series of the same name, "Charlie's Angels"
is about three female investigators who are employed by a never seen
man, Charlie, who communicates with them by tape recorder. Bosley
(Bill Murray) is the go-between. I can't recall too much of the plot,
only that it was really thin, and got tossed out the window halfway
through.
The director must think he's ultra cool, using the name McG. He must
think that his slow motion, and "Matrix" rip off fight scenes are
awesomely rad, dude! He must think that his three female stars must be
wonderfully super hot in their many forms of fetish wear, which shows
their figures quite well as they dive through the air in slow motion.
I think that says enough! |

I
personally don't see the justification for an
"F" rating here. This film is mindless fluff
that is modestly entertaining. It aims low, but
hits its target most of the time. Average? Yes.
Failure? Not hardly.
