"The Fugitive 2"...
A new source of
immense hydro-electric energy is discovered by a small team of
scientists. However, just as they are about to share their knowledge
with the world, their laboratory is destroyed. One man and one woman
survive and are blamed for the destruction and they become fugitives
from the law and from the 'real' culprits. The two of them must escape
the clutches of their pursuers while trying to prove their innocence.
This is a high quality thriller without all the clichéd storylines and
superhuman stunts that usually accompany the genre. Every second of
this film smacks with tension and it will keep you on the edge of your
seat all the way through. The script is intelligent and the acting is
exactly what you could hope for.
Rachel Weisz is a breakout star in
her role and I am sure we will see more of her as the years go by.
Even Keanu pulls a decent effort out of nowhere! Morgan Freeman is
sublime as always and the rest of the cast holds up well. I highly
recommend this great action flick... just as much as the director's
previous effort, 'The Fugitive'.
Not to be missed... an overlooked action/chase classic!
